I rounded out my birthday week by heading up to Kingston for cocktails with Paul on Friday evening. We'd planned it before the Queen died and there was a bit of uncertainty about whether things would still be open or not, but I was glad to see that the country did not come to a grinding halt. This feels really bizarre. On the one hand she was 96 so it isn't exactly surprising, but on the other hand she's been the Queen for so long it kinda felt like she always would be. I don't think I can get my head around the concept of King Charles.

As we all know by now I love taking pictures, and I'm quite shocked that I neglected to add any to my previous two entries. I shall rectify that now with some snaps taken over the weekend...

I went to Paul's house at the weekend where a group of us played board games and drank beer to celebrate his birthday. We played Pandemic twice and won both times, which I feel bodes well for our disease defeating abilities! Other games included Exploding Kittens and Settlers of Catan, which I hadn't played in years. I hope everyone is enjoying the Jubilee! I was at work both yesterday and today so I didn't get the joy of a four day weekend but I'm done for the week now so it's time to party! So far I've celebrated by having a Krispy Kreme Jubilee doughnut and am currently drinking a Golden Goblet cocktail. It's nice to see not much has changed in ten years!

It's the first day of summer and I've had to put a jumper on. Good job, weather.

As someone who was around in the UK in the 90s I of course watched and loved The Crystal Maze and often wished that I could go on myself. Well, on Saturday that wish was granted as my pub quiz team and I went into London to go to The Crystal Maze Live Experience. It's so foggy outside I feel like we're in the Misty Mountains. I just took Tilly out and when I turned around to come back inside I could barely see the house.

(BTW, this doesn't count as me defaulting to talking about the weather because it is really, seriously, foggy here at the moment. It's in the news and everything!)
